Our Client is a Publicly traded Multi-billion$$$ company looking for a Mobile Applications Engineer with a Background in the Mobile, Telecom, and Wireless sector. Our Client is making some major investments in their Technology division and has recently launched 3 Major Projects to address upgrades to their: E-Commerce, SharePoint, and CRM operating Platforms. 


 


Job Summary: 



The Commercial IT Mobility Engineer is a high impact position responsible for day to day engineering, development and implementation of functions related to Mobility Solutions. This includes working closely with architects, developers, and vendors to design, coordinate, execute, and support enterprise mobility applications throughout our client's Commercial NA. Will work with the technical lead and the application architect to ensure proper coding standards as well as work with the Technical Lead in scoping and estimating work effort for bugs and enhancements. Should be able to analyze and identify solutions for Issues/requests raised by the business users. Essential Functions:


Development


Creating shared web services and building mobile applications.


Web development tasks include coding, testing, debugging, documenting, peer-reviewing, deploying, monitoring, and support.


Works with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments.


Leverage existing technologies including ASP.NET, C#, WCF, WPF


Develop and design applications in iPhone, Objective C, Xcode


Change Management


Monitoring and updating Change Request & trouble tickets for new & existing mobile portal changes


Maintenance and support of existing templates and content production processes, this ensures that our processes are functioning correctly.


Migration of Code between Environments


Communication


Works as project team member to develop Internet Mobile Web applications, as well as syndication feeds


Works with the Business Analyst, Project Manager and Program Managers in scoping and estimating work effort for bugs and enhancements


Ongoing Education


Learning new skills and enhancing existing ones


 


 Experience and Education:


 


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field with coursework in technology-related subjects


5-10 years of total business experience in an Engineering / Architecture related role


Previous Mobility Engineering Experience


Proven ability to effectively drive change in a highly matrixed and decentralized organizational environment


Prior experience mobilizing a large population of field operational workers


Skills:


Strong communication skills - written and oral


ASP.NET, C#, WCF, WPF and the bulk of their work will still be on shared services on windows platform


iPhone, Objective C, Xcode


Ability to work with minimal supervision


Leadership skills such as taking proper responsibility, pursuing solutions to problem, displaying resourcefulness towards accomplishing given task or goals


Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support
